Uncubed Cofounder Tarek Pertew Wins WCA Leadership Award

December 2, 2016 By Jack Krupnik

When Tarek isn’t leading a creative sales force at our Chinatown office or finding peace with his wife and baby in Brooklyn, you can find him accepting awards in Westchester.

Just the other week, the Westchester County Association the business membership organization that helps foster economic development in the county, met to honor pioneers in “smart growth, innovation, and talent” at their Leadership Dinner – a 600 person event that included four Westchester Mayors.

Tarek was one of three Leadership Award winners at the dinner. Riz Khaliq, Director of Marketing and Communications for IBM Global Public Sector and Smarter Cities, and Paula Mandell, Senior Vice President of M&T Bank Corporation were also honored for their work in helping Westchester to “continue to drive the innovation needed to create a thriving, vibrant economic ecosystem that benefits all”.

All three leaders contributed their advice on reaching that goal. Tarek stating, “Look at the future; know how to talk to millennial talent. Show them videos so they have a sense of what you do and your culture. The idea is to make work human and be transparent.”
