Uncubed Events in 2020: More HR Breakfasts & The all new Human Intelligence Invitational for Executive-level HR Leaders

2020 will welcome significant changes to our event schedule including our annual HR conference, known as HR Uncubed.
We’re excited to announce some changes to our 2020 events schedule here at Uncubed. But the biggest news is around our popular annual HR Conference, HR Uncubed.
HR Uncubed has existed for three years, with the focus on employer branding and talent acquisition. The conference has grown significantly year over year, with strongly positive overall feedback, and we know we could continue on that growth path.
We’ve also learned a lot about how our events can make the most impact for organizations. That has led us to make significant changes to our overall event format. Here’s why:
- Every other month we host a free breakfast series that engages HR & Talent professionals on the very topics we have traditionally covered at the HR Uncubed conference. We believe that HR Uncubed attendees can be serviced more effectively by expanding this breakfast series, which we will do in 2020. This allows for smaller, more participatory discussions, and an ongoing dialogue vs. a once-a-year conference.
- We need to do more to involve company leadership in the conversation around employer brand and overall talent strategy. This means getting CHROs, Chief People Officers, and other senior leaders in the room.
Therefore, feeling confident that our HR Breakfast series will continue to provide equal or greater value to our existing HR & Talent community, we have decided to evolve our annual conference into one that is exclusively for CHROs and CPOs.
The name has changed. The format has changed. The attendee profile has changed.
WELCOME TO THE HUMAN INTELLIGENCE INVITATIONAL
H.I. is a single-day, invite-only conference exclusively for the highest ranking human resource and talent executives within a company. This year, we plan on hosting 50+ for the inaugural format. The event will take place on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2020 at the Williamsburg Hotel, with inspiring talks from internationally recognized faces as well as programmed workshops & dialogs on topics most sensitive to the work of executive HR leaders around the world.
The conference will conclude with an intimate 2-hour boat-tour of Manhattan.
OTHER NOTABLE EVENTS
In December of 2019, motivated by the announcement of mass layoffs at WeWork, Uncubed held two events in partnership with KettleSpace to connect talent recently affected by a reduction in force (RIF) with a group of exciting companies. We did so over breakfast in a “rotational pod” format that ensure companies had a chance to meet everyone.
The success of these two events has informed an expansion of this series in 2020. Keep an eye out for news of our next curated talent event, which will take place in February, 2020.
In other event news, after acquiring Mediabistro earlier in 2019, Uncubed has continued to work on ways to provide similar offline value to the Mediabistro community. That’s why we are excited to announce the ongoing revitalization of the once-popular cocktail-party events for journalists, writers and other media professionals. After hosting two events in partnership with MuckRack in Q4, Uncubed will continue to provide similar events in 2020.
Finally, we’re pretty excited to announce the launch of a media-only job fair in the “Uncubed” format that made waves back when we held our annual NYC Uncubed job fair here in NYC. This event will be exclusively for media companies to meet first-hand with an abundance of content-creating professionals across social media, marketing, editorial, video & more. This event is tentatively schedule for early Q3.
