A job for pet lovers + EdTech internships @ SAM Labs
First Jobs After College
Rover connects pet parents with trusted caretakers. To keep their systems on a tight leash, the Site Reliability Engineering team is calling out for Software Engineers to join their pack.
If you’ve got some experience as a professional software developer, that’s great to note! But even if not, they’d still like to chat.
You’ll also want to mention any work you’ve done with Python/Django, AWS, relational databases, and observability tools, since those are the toys you’ll play with at Rover.
Human Interest is a company that helps small businesses offer employees a path toward retirement savings and financial independence.
They’re interested in finding Data Analysts with 0-2 years of experience, a strong grasp of statistical analysis, and a BA/BS in either a quantitative field or behavioral science in order to help teams integrate data into their day-to-day decisions.
You’ll stand out by having data visualization software experience (think Looker, Tableau, or Power BI) along with the desire to help support the mission of providing financial stability for when social security runs out (which could be as soon as 2035!).
Internship of the Week
SAM Labs is an EdTech startup that empowers teachers with hardware, software, and curricula to help students learn science, technology, art, engineering, and math.
If drawing insights from data in order to power the future of education is a mission you’re enthusiastic about, then check out SAM Labs’ Strategy Associate Internship.
You should be studying something “data-heavy” – like engineering, economics, or business; proficient with Excel and CRMs; and curious, investigative, and skeptical.
