How CircleCI And AWS Power Dollar Shave Club’s Affordable Grooming Service


Dollar Shave Club (DSC) has long staked its reputation on the affordability and simplicity of its service. However, a simple user experience doesn’t necessarily mean there’s a simple technical framework behind it.

Thanks in part to their use of continuous delivery and continuous integration platform CircleCI, DSC’s lean engineering team is freed up to focus on the complex technical challenges presented when sending grooming products to their many subscribers.

Similarly, as CircleCI CTO Rob Zuber explains, CircleCI’s engineers are able to devote the lion’s share of their time to maintaining and improving their CI/CD platform, instead of the cloud computing tasks that AWS handles.
