Tomorrow’s the 4th. Which makes today a fine day to revisit the most impressive Kickstarter of all time: Potato Salad. And perhaps the least impressive: bizarre light-up beer mugs.




The design of forthcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 has been leaked, naturally, ahead of official announcements. The Fandroids out there are pretty geeked up about the tablet’s display, which is much larger than the S3. (We’re excited that there was no mention of the battery erupting in flames.)



Mail Tampering

Both Google and some app makers had some explaining to do after it was revealed that certain companies had read thousands of Gmail users’ emails while developing their products. Add this to the startups-think-they-can-get-away-with anything file.

What to do: log in to your account settings and review the apps listed under “Third-party apps with account access.” Shut off any that you don’t trust.
