Inside The Box

Surely you can do better than one can.

If you want to volunteer your time this holiday season, we've got some ideas - Uncubed

We don’t need to tell you that there are a lot of New Yorkers in some serious need. And we’re not here to guilt you into doing some good this holiday season. However! If you’re interested in volunteering your time, you might be in need of some guidance.

Food Bank for New York City offers a wealth of opportunities to get your 2014 karmic balance back on the plus side – check out their calendar page for specific slots.

Similarly, New York Common Pantry is always on the lookout for both contributions and volunteers. Get all the details here. And Citymeals-On-Wheels is also accepting volunteers for Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day – apply to help out here.

New York Cares’ annual Coat Drive offers more than 280 locationsthroughout the five boroughs where you can donate a used or new coat for someone in need.

If you’re looking for different kind of volunteer opportunity, both NYC Service and VolunteerMatch are excellent resources for finding the chance to do some good.

Now go forth (and lend a hand).
