Management Consulting Manager

Here’s what you need 


  • Minimum 5+ years experience working in fraud and / or one or more of the following financial crime areas; Anti-money laundering and Terrorist Financing (AML/ TF), Know Your Customer (KYC), Sanctions, Transaction Monitoring, or Surveillance 

  • Minimum 5+ years experience working within a fraud or financial crime department in a change, advisory, technology, or analytics (as a consultant or in a financial service, government, regulatory, or commercial organization). 

  • Experience working with fraud and financial crime technologies such as Falcon, Pega, Fenergo,  Actimize, SAS, Quantexa, Ripjar, Featurespace, Feedzai, Sira, Hunter, BAE Netreveal, or Oracle Mantas 

  • Understanding of how data and analytics can be used to prevent, detect, and manage financial crime 

  • Experience in conducting risk assessments 

  • Good working knowledge of Canada or global financial crime regulation, legislation, and industry guidance 

  • Strong MS office skills specifically in PowerPoint and Excel 

  • The ability to work effectively within a team setting to tight and agile deadlines 



Management Consulting Experience 

  • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate with clients, lead key requirement workshops, document and understand requirements  

  • Experience eliciting high-level business requirements and creating detailed functional specs and other documentation, such as requirement traceability matrices, work-flow diagrams and use-cases 

  • Experience working through organizational change, with a demonstrated track record of continuing responsibilities, creativity, and innovation, including evidence of solution design 

  • Well-developed analytical skills and the ability to provide clarity to complex issues, and synthesize large amounts of information  

  • Demonstrated ability to identify the root causes of issues by analyzing patterns and trends  

  • Strong competence in developing presentations required (MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel))  



Bonus points if: 


  • Knowledge of latest industry trends and developments and how they might impact financial crime threats 

  • Experience in writing points of view or presenting on financial crime trends and latest financial crime prevention, detection, and management technologies 

  • Experience working on a financial crime project using Agile delivery methodology 

  • Experience using data and analytics to solve financial crime problems 

  • Experience either delivering, presenting, or using analytics outputs to help inform policy or action against financial crime 

  • Experience with assessing appropriateness and effectiveness of financial crime controls and designing / implementing risk-based enhancements 

  • Understanding of cloud technologies, such as AWS, GCP and Azure or coding languages and Big Data technologies such as Python, R, Spark, and Hive
