Monetization Analyst, Partnerships

We are looking for a hungry and results-focused individual to join our Partnerships team. In this role, you will leverage AppLovin’s products and expertise to optimize revenue for game developers and the mobile gaming market. You will also have a chance to work directly with AppLovin’s leadership - including Directors and VPs across teams, and to learn from many thought leaders in the industry, including our founders. This role can evolve to match any problem we face as the mobile ecosystem's evolution picks up pace.
Responsibilities:
- Manage ad monetization strategy across a variety of ad networks, including but not limited to, AppLovin, Facebook, and Google
- Successfully build and operate ad waterfalls to improve monetization across our strategic partners
- Run A/B tests to optimize monetization efforts: take a scientific method approach in developing hypotheses, setting up experiments, and analyzing results to prove or disprove your theories. You will own these tests from beginning to end and leverage the results to inform future tests.
- Communicate with strategic partners & ad network reps to optimize performance, create new ad placements, and build/maintain each partnership
- Work with third party vendors and internal teams to ensure that ads served comply with brand safety guidelines
- Support developers in triaging and troubleshooting integration issues
- Benchmark daily, weekly, and monthly monetization performance against key metrics to identify areas for optimization & shape our ongoing strategy
- Continuously think outside the box and take calculated risks in testing and strategy
- Understand the mobile gaming competitive landscape and publisher supply
- Actively and constantly learn on your own. We love to teach, but we expect you to be proactive in seeking out knowledge & solutions
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an analytical or quantitative major preferred, but not required
- 0-5 years of professional experience
- Team player who will thrive in a dynamic, constantly evolving environment
- Love of hands-on testing to prove or disprove a theory
- Ability to be self sufficient and execute quickly when given autonomy
- Exceptional organization, analytical skills, and attention to detail
- Strong work ethic, flexibility, and drive to deliver results to achieve the business vision
- Embrace change and uncertainty as exciting challenges for learning and growth
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, including pivot tables, conditional formatting, VLOOKUP, and formulas
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, in support of achieving team objectives
