Productivity Engineering is a global team at Box that provides our engineers with modern tools and platforms to help them build, test and deliver features to our customers.

In order to transform the way people and organizations work, we need to rapidly bring to market new products and features. In turn, Box Engineering needs to rapidly build critical business delivering applications that can power those products and features. We need you to champion ideas to provide continuous improvements to engineering experience at Box. You will get to be creative and autonomous while building various integrations and orchestrations in an Agile team. As part of this team, you will provide valuable inputs and drive technical impact. You will research Box's continuous integration requirements, design, and champion effective solutions for a variety of technologies. You'll get to take on challenges around user experience, scale, security, analytics and cross-platform portability.

Who You Are:

Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent experience in related fields
5+ years of professional software development experience
Have a track record of implementing complex systems and scalable services
Solid coding, designing, and architecture skills in Python, Go or TypeScript
Experience with backend or full-stack software development
Hands-on experience with modern cloud technologies like AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker
Assess, communicate and complete project milestones with manager and team members in a time sensitive manner

Bonus Points:

Experience with Groovy and Jenkinsfile
Experience managing, building integrations/plugins for CI/CD and SCM solutions like Jenkins, Github, etc.
Configuration management and deployment management tools like Puppet, Ansible and Terraform
Experience and knowledge on micro-service based architecture
Previous contributions to Open Source projects

You will be expected to:

Attend and engage in weekly stand ups, team meetings, manager 1:1s
Work with team to deliver our vision through building quality product features
Work collaboratively with other engineers, architects, team members and across teams
Coach junior engineers and demonstrate technical leadership to drive productivity projects
Play a role in developing and fostering Box culture
Represent Box Poland internally and externally

Percentage of Time Spent:

45% coding and building integrations/orchestrations (programming, building/using APIs and setting up open source / commercial products)
10% architecture and design work
15% providing support to other teams on productivity tools and workflows
10% bug fixes
10% documentation
10% meetings
