Lead Strategy and Business Analyst

The Strategy and Business Analyst interacts with Bright Health Care stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand the business problem and need. The Analyst will develop new solutions to problems by understanding needs and analyzing data to develop requirements and solutions.

This role can be based in Minneapolis, or New York preferred or remote for the right candidate.


  • Create and distribute scorecards that reflect stakeholder performance across the Quadruple Aim goals,
  • Support strategic analysis by creating market profiles and market mapping that provide insights into acquisition and growth opportunities
  • Support improvement initiatives that require data analysis and interpretation,
  • Collate data and reports from managed and owned medical groups and IPA’s
  • Create local, regional and summary reports that include tracking, trending and bench marking
  • Identify process gaps and correct them by defining business requirements in coordination with various stakeholders
  • Problem solve across operations, including issue tracking and resolution for access, billing, collections, coding, quality, patient satisfaction and technology
  • Act as a key connection point that drives operational excellence - ensuring efforts across Operations are in sync and deliver on the experience we promise to members, providers and staff
  • Link business owners’ business objectives to technical capabilities, brainstorm potential strategies and identify future solutions
  • Support vendor management activities by preparing objective performance reports
  • Determine and document efficient process flows
  • Provide technical assistance and strategy to business owners to aid in project planning and project road mapping
  • Drive implementation of new products and services through program management


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field is required; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Eight (8) years of professional experience preferred
  • Four (4) years of experience in data analysis in a health care setting or for health care providers required
  • Experience with health care data sources including EMR, claims, quality and utilization data preferred
  • Advanced user of Excel, Access and SQL required
  • Advanced user of presentation software such as Tableau required
