Due to our phenomenal success here at BuzzFeed we are now looking to expand the high performing sales team focused on Germany. This is an amazing, ground floor opportunity to represent the BuzzFeed brand and our advertising products in these two countries. You will help build our European business!
You have experience in the digital media space and previous experience with New Business Sales. You will have full ownership and accountability for managing your business through the complete sales bid execution.

The position is based in our Berlin or London office and will report to our GM, Europe.
Prospect new clients, including the ability to qualify and close new accounts
Prepare for and manage business meetings with C-level clients
Develop a sales strategy and business plan for generating revenue through premium direct sales to brands and agencies as well as RFP agency business.
Host online, phone and in-person presentations
Provide prompt phone/email follow up to all inbound inquiries and document and track activity
Develop knowledge to become an expert on social media, content Marketing, mobile and digital video
Career growth and earnings aligned with your performance and desire to achieve
Previous digital sales experience
Experience at a leading publisher or social media platform
Strong track record of success driving revenue through discovering, prospecting, creating new business and growing and retaining existing business
Strong writing skills
Strong negotiation, influencing skills and an ability to persuade at all levels of an agency or client
An understanding of social ad products like Facebook Sponsored Stories and Promoted Tweets
Passionate about social advertising and new media
Demonstrable knowledge of the online advertising industry
Ability to work in a fast moving company and industry
Skilled in crafting presentations and written pitch materials a plus
