Product Support Specialist

BuzzFeed is looking for an experienced Product Support Specialist to focus on assisting our editors, creatives, community users and readers with any issues they may have while using our site or publishing tools. We work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and the ideal candidate will be a hard-working, technical problem solver who's obsessed with providing high-quality support and promoting a seamless end user experience.

We are looking for a collaborative person who has a demonstrated ability to efficiently multi-task, identify trends and communicate with editors and creatives. The successful candidate should be passionate about BuzzFeed but more importantly what they do, have strong communication skills and at building relationships with the people around them.

The position is based in our London office, and we offer competitive compensation, benefits and an employee stock option program.


Key responsibilities with include (but are not limited to):

  • Be one of the first contacts for support and mobile issues from BuzzFeed editors, creatives, and community members.

  • Identify and diagnose problems and work with developers to help quickly implement fixes.

  • Work closely with our Product, Project Management, and QA teams to be aware of bugs, fixes, and enhancements

  • Be a passionate advocate for great user experience!

Ideal experience required:

  • Ideally 2-3 years experience in a product support role in a fast paced environment 

  • Experience working with both desktop and mobile web teams and projects

  • Ability to read HTML well enough to recognize different elements on a page, like embeds, for troubleshooting purposes.

  • Familiarity with using Chrome developer tools to inspect elements and troubleshoot problems.

  • You are comfortable communicating with developers and have a basic understanding of technical language. Coding skills are a plus but you dont have to be an engineer

  • Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills.

  • Bonus: Experience with ZenDesk and/or JIRA

  • Bonus: An interest in content management systems and publishing
