What You Would Do Here:

Cloudflare is growing our Neumob team. Our focus is getting the best people to work at Cloudflare and then allowing you to do your best work. We are looking for a Protocol Engineer to join our Neumob team in Sunnyvale, Austin or San Francisco.



We are looking for a talented Protocol Engineer to join our team. You will be part of a team that focuses on making mobile apps faster, more reliable, and more accessible to anyone, anywhere in the world. The team you will join is working tirelessly to deliver the next generation mobile experience. You will work closely with system engineers to overhaul TCP/IP, design client-side network cognizant software, and implement novel solutions for networking performance while also ensuring a superior integration experience for app developers and a stable SDK on millions of devices worldwide. You get excited about working on tough problems and love the satisfaction when you find a solution.



  • Experience with systems/networking level C programming
  • Strong knowledge of transport layer protocol such as TCP
  • Good understanding of congestion control at transport layer
  • Good Linux/Unix knowledge
  • Strong systems level programming and troubleshooting skills
  • Bonus: Experience of userland networking stack
  • Bonus: Experience of UDP-based protocol design and implementation
