Account Executives, Channel Account Managers, Business Development Representatives, Solution Engineers, Customer Success, and Sales Operations - all working together help our customers adopt Cloudflare and create great Internet-enabled experiences. The sales team at Cloudflare helps customers solve real, technical problems while creating the revenue streams that help the company provide free service to millions in our community.
What you'll do
Based in London, you will look to replicate in EMEA Cloudflare’s successful track record of partnering with the world’s leading E-commerce, CMS, Analytics (among many other and ever-growing categories of) Cloud platform providers by leading deep technology integrations between our companies and commercially engaging in both sell-to/sell through motions, ultimately to deliver best-in-class joint offerings to their end consumers at scale.
The ideal candidate will possess both a major account and/or significant platform sales background in technology solutions, primarily software based, that enables them to i) understand market dynamics and/or macro shifts impacting Cloudflare and its existing/target platform partners, ii) engage with both Tech/Business/PM Execs internally and at partners to build business cases and drive roadmap and delivery of joint offerings, and iii) understand commercial/market and/or GTM considerations at both partners and at Cloudflare so as to devise pricing/commercial structures that maximise revenue opportunities for both Cloudflare and its platform partners across market segments, taking care not to cannibalise business for either party across high-value target customers.
Additional responsibilities will include
- Drive multi-million dollar platform opportunities to closure over sales/offering development cycles some of which may be shorter term and others that may span 6 months or more
- Develop and nurture relationships with existing and potential platform partners to help uncover sell-to/sell-through opportunities
- Uncover and pursue additional target partners as Cloudflare’s service portfolio expansion affords incremental platform sales opportunities
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts
- < 50% travel
Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience
- 10+ years of direct B2B selling experience with a focus on selling to large corporates/major accounts, 5+ years in Cloud/Platform/SaaS Business Development roles and/or engaging in large platform/OEM sales efforts
- Direct experience selling network security and/or CDN solutions and services preferred
- Experience managing longer, complex sales cycles
- Basic understanding of computer networking and “how the internet works”
- Aptitude for learning technical concepts/terms (Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus)
- Strong interpersonal communication (verbal and written) and organisational skills.
- Self-motivated; entrepreneurial spirit
- Comfortable working in a fast paced dynamic environment
