Director of Product Management - Integrations and Partnerships

Collective Health, San Mateo, CA | Lehi, UT | Chicago, IL | Remote

Leading the healthcare evolution

We all depend on healthcare throughout our lifetimes, for ourselves, and our families and friends, but it is notoriously difficult to navigate and understand. As an industry that comprises 20% of the US economy we think healthcare should work better for all of us. At Collective Health we believe it’s time for a new day in healthcare where as members we are informed and empowered to make the right care choices when the decisions are urgent and critical.

Collective Health is focused on driving a better member experience, better health outcomes, and better healthcare cost management by enabling a more transparent and more competitive health care ecosystem.

To work with different ecosystem players, we need to be masters of data. It has to be easy to get data into our system, cleanse it, map it to our internal models, and similarly to send it out to partner organizations. As we substantially expand our partnerships with traditional medical, dental, and vision networks (for medical care), pharmacy benefit managers, or PBMs (for Rx processing), and more specialized point solution partners (e.g. telemedicine, behavioral health, cancer, diabetes, etc), we need a senior, battle-tested product leader who can steer our work in this space.

As our Product Management Director of Integrations and Partnerships, you'll dive in with engineers, data analysts, and implementation teams to understand, engage, and problem solve on the technical details to make this work. But you'll also lead our broader thinking on how we approach this problem with potential partner organizations, and throughout our development organization, so that Collective Health can grow to support an ever growing ecosystem of partners from small creative startups all the way to the largest existing provider and payer players in the US.

You'll build and champion a strategy for Collective Health in partnership with our counterparts across the company, establish the product roadmap for the integration platform via APIs and EDI, assemble and/or hire the right people, and lead our teams to accomplish it successfully.

What you'll do:

  • Work with engineers, data analysts, and our partnerships team to determine internal data models and map partner organizations' data to ours
  • Manage multiple projects that span company lines to set up successfully working systems to process medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, and other claims data
  • Be a representative for Collective Health when engaging with our counterparts at partner organizations
  • Define the product strategy and roadmap, along with project timelines and resourcing needs, to balance short-term needs, hard deadlines, and longer term strategic investments to help us grow
  • Build and manage a Product Management team focused on data integrations and act as a leader within our Product Management team

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 10+ years of Product Management experience
  • 4+ years managing other Product Managers
  • Demonstrated track record in platform product management, especially in defining and executing on a product strategy to expose APIs to external partners for development and self-service. Experience with EDI is also a plus but not required.
  • Experience delivering large, technically complex projects with partner integrations
  • Affinity for and willingness to dive into technical details, including APIs and file format specs
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in hiring, coaching and building teams
  • Experience as a product leader in organizations of different sizes/maturity levels is a plus but not required
