About the role
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Manager of Global Procurement within the Workplace Team to provide leadership, vision, and business requirements in the development and implementation of a Procurement Organization. Prior experience in a high growth technology company establishing procurement and sourcing processes is required. This role reports directly into the Senior Director Global Real Estate & Workplace and is based in Palo Alto, CA.

What you’ll do:

  • Procurement Management Strategy and Planning: Develop and manage procurement policy, procedures and strategies for a global organization
  • Supplier/Vendor Strategy: Plan, source, and select new vendors and optimize relationships with existing vendors
  • Negotiation: Work quickly and effectively alongside Legal and Finance to negotiate the best available price and terms to meet savings goals, minimize risk, and ensure compliance
  • Contract Strategy and Execution: Understand key terms, lead supplier contract negotiations, establish critical metrics and define SLA’s
  • Financial Analysis:  Develop analytics to support negotiations and/or purchasing activity and drive continual productivity improvement
  • Risk Assessment and Due Diligence: Manage the risk and due diligence process to move vendors through the various stage gates from identification to contracting
  • Process and Execution: Develop, select, or implement processes and tools to support the Third Party and Vendor Management Program

What we're looking for:

  • 7+ years of experience strategic sourcing, procurement, and vendor management with at least several being at a software company
  • Strong understanding of the sourcing and procure to pay processes including, but not limited to, AP automation, eProcurement, invoicing, prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, and strategic sourcing
  • Willingness to lead initiatives and be a catalyst for change throughout the whole organization
  • Experience with implementation of ERP Systems, building teams, and people management
  • Problem Solver: To succeed in the role you must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills and be a strategic and creative thinker
  • Excellent Communicator and Project Manager: Easily communicate, negotiate, direct, plan, and organize effectively across all levels of an organization and influence thinking and outcomes
  • Multi Tasker: You can play a wide-variety of roles to get the job done
  • Fast Mover: You must be nimble and agile with the ability to take decisive action to address business needs that meet corporate business objectives
