At Coursera, the Content Strategy and Management (CSM) team develops and executes on a strategy to grow the value of content in Coursera’s catalog. CSM manages the performance of content throughout its lifecycle - from content identification through production to maintenance. CSM analyzes the performance of existing content, identifies gaps in our catalog, and works with instructors at universities and in the field to craft the best curriculum to fill that gap.

As our Curriculum Engineer for Electrical Engineering content, you will play a key role in shaping our electrical engineering (EE) content. You will work with professors and instructional teams to consult on curriculum for upcoming EE content. You will use your subject matter expertise and experience to put yourself in the shoes of Coursera’s EE learners and recommend adjustments to EE curriculum. You will defend your recommendations to both a technical and non-technical audience.

Your responsibilities:

  • Have a deep understanding of the EE field
  • Review and advise on curriculum for upcoming EE content, including potential EE degrees and certificate programs
  • Work with instructors from the world’s best universities and companies to guide them in producing the best content that meets the needs of our EE learners, including providing topic guidance and curriculum review

Your skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Masters preferred
  • At least 2 years of work experience in the Electrical Engineering field
  • Clear and comprehensive understanding of the EE field - you understand the different facets of education and careers in this field
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills; ability to convince professors and teaching teams to implement your changes
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally, both with internal and external teams
  • Passion for education technology and electrical engineering
  • Prefer background in teaching and/or designing EE curriculum
