The Marketing & Communications team is responsible for connecting the world to lifelong transformative learning. They also work to shape public conversations on the future of education and work. The team is segmented into four areas of focus: Consumer Marketing, Enterprise Marketing, Brand & Creative, and Communications. The team is currently focused on expanding the reach of Coursera’s brand, attracting students to degree programs, bringing new customers to Coursera for Business, and creating a marketing system that nurtures learners throughout their professional lives. 

As a Growth Marketing Manager on the Consumer Marketing team, you’ll have the opportunity to partner with the Growth product team to drive new user acquisition and conversion of Coursera’s learning products. You will optimize monetization levers, including referral programs, promotions, and payments, as well as identify and launch new levers by working closely with the product team. In this high visibility role, you will drive the experimentation agenda and campaign roadmap, and be responsible for growing each of these levers.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Drive monetization of Coursera’s learning products by optimizing referral programs, promotional campaigns, and payments, and launching new levers for growth
  • Generate data-driven hypotheses and test, scale and optimize marketing campaigns to cost-effectively drive key user actions on platform
  • Report and analyze campaign performance on a weekly and monthly basis; develop insights and present quarterly business reviews.
  • Relentlessly test and optimize to produce industry-leading results and demonstrable growth to the Coursera business and learners
  • Collaborate with Brand, creative, and go-to-market functions to ensure that we are driving performance while effectively communicating our brand and product

Your Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in growth and/or product marketing for consumer technology companies
  • Push marketing (email/notifications) experience or direct response acquisition experience, with a focus on setting and managing promotional offers for a consumer product
  • Experience driving A/B testing and optimization, including using data to develop and analyze campaigns; experience with Looker (or similar tool) and Excel and familiarity with SQL
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; comfortable leveraging large amounts of data to drive decisions and a passion for continuous testing and optimization
  • Excellent creative, design and copywriting skills with the ability to align messaging to user segment and channel
  • Strong passion for online education and understanding of the higher education landscape
