Duration: Full-Time

The Commercial Insurance Associate supports our experienced Commercial Insurance Agency team by collecting, analyzing and summarizing valuable information from and for our digital insurance shopper. The Associate helps with the submission of applications & generation of product quotes, assists our licensed advisors present and close new business, and helps to service new customers as needed in delivering an amazing user experience. Additionally, the Commercial Insurance Associate is responsible for maintaining a positive work environment and reinforcing the CoverHound culture.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Handle multi-product quoting processes for shoppers/customers as directed by our Commercial Insurance Agency and Team Leaders
  • Summarize information for easy presentation by the Insurance Advisors
  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure high NPS scores
  • Attend all training for our new & current Insurance Carriers
  • Learn from our cybersecurity partners, related to our Cyber Insurance options
  • Maintain knowledge of our guidelines and procedures by reading emails and our educational resources
  • Alert Team Lead, or other members of leadership of system or carrier issues
  • Maintain good attendance at work
  • Contribute feedback and new ideas for process improvements & areas of innovation

  • Experience with P&C or specifically Commercial Insurance is a plus, but not required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast paced (digital) environment
  • Focus on exceeding customer expectations at each interaction
  • Comfortable using a computer for internal and external communications, processing applications and quotes, documenting customer engagements, and scheduling future engagements with shoppers/customers 
  • Strong team player and ability to work independently as needed to achieve individual and team-based goals
  • Experience in cybersecurity is also a plus, but not required
