Who you are:
You are a highly motivated individual who can (1) monitor and analyze the quality of our data feeds and signals; (2) keep up-to-date on key financial news developments and assess the impact of real-time Dataminr signals; and (3) be the in-house expert on a specific sector or industry from a corporate news perspective.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- 1-3 years’ experience working in-house covering corporate communications, investor relations, financial or business news at a public relations, news, media or research organization
- Degree in Business Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Economics, Public Policy or related field preferred
- Ability to monitor, analyze and verify data quickly
- Understand what makes corporations tick; potential crises, brand protection, competitive intelligence, situational awareness
- Experience in a real-time/breaking news environment or a proven track record handling breaking events within a corporate communications/investor relations role
- Passion for technology, social media (specifically Twitter), corporate trends, following financial markets, world news and current events
- Fluency in English required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must
- Self-motivation and an ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
