We're looking for talented and experienced software engineers to help us maintain extremely high levels of quality across our consumer and internal facing applications. You'll be working embedded in product teams, alongside other engineers, designers, product managers, commercial teams. You'll be fully involved in the software development development process in order to ensure that we are keeping highest quality standards, finding engineering solutions to quality problems.

As a Software Engineer (Quality) you will:

  • Innovate by using a data driven approach to find quality gaps in our products and processes and use engineering solutions to fix those problems
  • Be willing to question the conventional understanding of software testing processes, redefining what quality means in a modern software company
  • Be involved in creating tools for a better, faster and more reliable platform by, for example: creating bespoke monitoring and alerting, improving A/B testing tools, improving existing CI/CD pipelines by automating different parts of the development workflow, developing techniques for testing in production including synthetic monitoring, creating test harnesses alongside various engineering teams, developing and maintaining automation frameworks (API, integration, contract)
  • Work as an integral part of our engineering team, as part of a discipline that is tasked specifically with improving the quality of our products
  • Help shape and improving quality processes at all levels through automation
  • Work with the team to improve unit/integration/API test coverage to existing/newly created services
  • Mentor less experienced team members, helping them learn and grow
  • Be involved in the interview process as we grow the team


  • Pride in readable, well-designed, well-tested software
  • Desire to build tools for others, including self-service
  • Solid experience in software engineering role AND/OR automation backend API testing role (bonus points for Ruby/Rails or mobile experience)
  • Knowledge of implementing testing methodologies within an agile workflow (continuous integration/delivery)
  • Experience in diagnostics of technical issues, i.e examining API responses, debug information and lookup information using different monitoring tools
  • Knowledge of distributed systems
  • Experience with TDD environments (RSpec, Minitest, or similar)
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and HTTP/REST
  • Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and key-value stores (Memcache, Redis)
  • Ability to work in an investigative manner
  • Great verbal and written communication skills

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with Ruby and/or Rails
  • Experience in building testing/internal tools from scratch
  • Awareness of iOS, Android and web development
  • Previous experience or insight into a quality or testing role
  • Knowledge of Docker
