What You’ll Do:
As an Account Manager, you’ll work with hundreds of the most exciting restaurants around, seek to understand their business, and use your analytical skills to drive growth & profitability. For the right candidate, this position has strong opportunity for progression and will jump-start a successful career within the tech space.
Whilst we've grown enormously over the past 6 years, we’ve still got a move-fast, take ownership mentality. As part of a newly formed team, you’ll have a chance to shape the Account Management execution of 3-billion-dollar company.
Own your portfolio: You’ll be responsible for the progress of your portfolio of restaurants. You will ensure that they continue to grow through strong operational performance and profitability. You will analyse data on restaurant performance, draw out learnings and share them with your restaurants.
Execution: Getting shit done.
Ownership: Ownership of team level KPIs, set in line with the wider commercial team’s targets and setting KPI banding across direct reports
Collaboration: Communication and collaboration with management and other teams and business units within the Org. You will report into a team lead who will be responsible specifically for Chinese-speaking restaurants, and you will be working with a UK-wide cross-functional team focusing on Chinese-speaking partners.
What We’re Looking For:
The right candidate will be hungry, ambitious and motivated to work within a fast moving environment. As a guide, the ideal person will possess the following:
- A degree (this is a great role for recent grads with an entrepreneurial mindset).
- Ability to speak Mandarin (and Cantonese would be a bonus!). This role is specifically for someone who will work with our Chinese-speaking restaurant partners, so being fluent in Mandarin is non-negotiable for this one!
- Be comfortable looking at and acting on data
- Experience and confidence in talking to multiple different accounts. You will obviously be working with restaurant partners in this role, but we are keen to hear about experience in account management roles in other sectors.
- Track record of taking ownership and working with demanding targets
- An interest in food and restaurants and experience in working in this industry are a bonus!
- Perseverance and grit – you’re a hustler and you’re not afraid
- Competitiveness – you’ll be working within a highly efficient team who like to win (as individuals and together)
- Curiosity – you’re a lifelong learner who is always striving to be outside of your comfort zone and test new ideas
