Role Description

As Corporate Accountant, you will partner with the broader Corporate accounting operations team to support Dropbox’s month end and quarter end close and day-to-day accounting operations. You’ll have the opportunity to take on a wide range of responsibilities within the Accounting department to support the accounting for current global operations and future global expansion.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing accruals and journal entries timely and accurately. You’ll be a key member of the team and assist with the daily accounting operations as well as contribute to various special projects and ad hoc requests.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with FP&A to review and prepare journal entries for accruals
  • Prepare month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules for reconciliation accounts
  • Identify improvement areas and work cross functionally to drive process changes to completion
  • Manage Oracle Fusion ARC’s program for company wide account reconciliations process
  • Prepare flux analysis for Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts
  • Assist with Chart of Accounts and any system related testings
  • Prepare slides for internal reporting
  • Gather schedules for external auditors for the financial statement audit process
  • Ensure SOX compliance with policies and procedures and update documentation as necessary
  • Create reports and document analysis for management review
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and requests as needed

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with full-cycle close experience at a tech company
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter who can work with minimum supervision 
  • Exceptional communication skills and being able to communicate effectively in all directions
  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Top performer who is willing to dive into the details and who is looking to gain experience and grow with Dropbox
  • Detail-oriented with great organizational skills, but also comfortable with ambiguity
  • Execution-focused, with the ability to take individual responsibility for delivering quality work in a timely manner
  • CPA preferred
