At EDITED, you’ll be part of our Finance & Operations team, working closely with the broader team to support the day to day running of the business. The Finance Assistant will be at the heart of our growth strategy - you will manage the vital day to day as we grow at lightning speed. As a finance assistant, you'll be involved in managing sales and purchase ledgers, reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts, running payroll, processing expense claims, filing and maintaining records, maintaining the fixed asset register and petty cash. The role would involve carrying out the tasks for the parent company based in London as well as for its US subsidiary. This role is ideal for someone who is at an early stage in their accounts career or possibly someone returning to work, as on-the-job training will be provided as part of the induction to familiarise you with relevant systems.
- Strong understanding of accountancy and bookkeeping
- Minimum one year work experience in similar position
- Working towards professional qualification in accountancy or bookkeeping from accredited institutions like AAT, IAB or similar
- Excellent use of Excel
- An organised, methodical and proactive approach
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to deadline
- Experience with Xero and Kashflow payroll software
- Able to prepare accounts to trial balance
