About the Team

The Lifecycle Marketing team is responsible for meeting key goals across growth, engagement, and retention touching all business lines -- AVOD/SVOD, Ecommerce, Events, and Games. We connect with users by tapping into a key set of marketing channels -- email, push notifications, in-app messages, landing pages, and house ads.

Crunchyroll COVID-19 Hiring Status

Crunchyroll employees are currently working from home, and we are still conducting remote interviews and hiring during this time. This role is expected to start remotely, and we’ll work closely with you as we understand every person has unique circumstances.

Location: Los Angeles (Culver City)

This office houses many of our corporate functions and cross-functional teams tasked with creating exceptional experiences for our passionate communities.

A day in the life of our Manager, Lifecycle Marketing:

  • Design and develop lifecycle marketing programs to improve user engagement, conversion, retention, re-engagement, and reacquisition
  • Demonstrate internal data by working cross-functionally with product, analytics, and data teams to understand our user behavior in depth, identify areas of opportunity, and implement programs to drive conversions and retention
  • Lead the end-to-end process for integrated campaigns across email, push notifications, in-app messages, and in-product -- including identifying campaign opportunities, developing strategy and messaging, coordinating asset creation, and reporting, as well as optimization for ongoing campaigns
  • Develop and lead all aspects of a roadmap that prioritizes high impact campaigns
  • Implement scalable growth marketing programs using AB and multivariate testing strategies and quickly applying lessons
  • Run development of assets (email, push notifications, in-app, in-product collateral, etc.) through the creative review process, collaborating with designers and copywriters, while adhering to brand guidelines
  • Work with internal International Leads to understand changing competitive landscapes to evolve our long-term strategy in key regions

About You:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a quantitative field (Math, Economics, Statistics), Marketing, or Business
  • 4+ years of growth marketing experience, retention marketing experience, and/or in a digital marketing/analytics role
  • Experience working cross-functionally with technical and business teams to successfully lead multiple projects
  • Experience using marketing automation tools or email marketing platforms (Braze, Leanplum, Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud etc)
  • Experience using marketing and product analytics tools (Amplitude, Looker, etc)
  • Approaches problem-solving and business goals with a data-driven demeanor
  • Ability to thrive in a very fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Mobile app marketing experience a plus
  • Paid Media (Remarketing) experience a plus
