Etsy is hiring Full-Stack Software Engineers to join our Seller Performance team.
Our marketplace contains one-of-a-kind items from independent artists, designers, and vintage collectors. These users constitute a vibrant global community of millions of sellers who expect Etsy to be a trusted advisor in helping them start and scale their businesses.
Are you interested in empowering the growth of the millions of creative businesses on our platform? Excited about giving our sellers the tools - and visibility - to continue to scale their Etsy presence?
About the Team
Our team builds products for Etsy sellers to start and grow their businesses. As an engineer on our team, you will play a huge role in building tools that ensure Etsy becomes the most valuable place for creative entrepreneurs to build and grow their businesses.
Here’s a taste of the problems we’re solving:
- How do we recognize sellers who are doing a great job on our platform? How should we highlight these sellers’ products to the millions of buyers who visit Etsy.com daily?
- How can we use data - and recommendations - to get the most out of their Shop Management tools?
- How might we architect a best-in-class public API that surfaces Etsy products to a broader swath of potential buyers?
We are language-agnostic in our approach to interviewing.
Our team is open to both remote candidates and candidates located in Etsy’s Brooklyn HQ.
You will do well in this role if you:
Have experience operating in a full-stack environment (bonus points if you’ve worked with - or written - public APIs).
Are an analytical thinker and understand how to wield data to make informed decisions about your work.
Write understandable, testable code with an eye towards maintainability.
Enjoy thinking about the implications of your work on end users.
Are comfortable collaborating with Product Managers and Designers to ensure that you’re delivering impactful product features.
