Senior Product Design Manager, Shopping Experiences

Etsy, New York, NY

Peer-to-peer e-commerce website focused on handmade or vintage items and supplies

As a Senior Product Design Manager on the Shopping Experience team, you’ll connect unique small businesses with interested consumers and makers from around the world.

If that sounds like something you’d be good at, read on.

Product Designer Managers lead our design team to create human-centered experiences across Etsy’s web and native products. They collaborate with small, multidisciplinary teams to empower creative people around the world to buy and sell the things they love.

Through rigorous market and user research, you’ll help set a design vision that supports the needs of both sides of our marketplace—our buyers and sellers. One where people with a passion can connect with others to build a more personal and sustainable future. Simply put, you’ll be designing experiences that always put people first.

Day to day, you’ll collaborate with partners from all sorts of disciplines and perspectives across the company to bring products to life. You’ll lead your team through the design process, helping create a customer-centric design vision while mentoring, coaching, and growing a talented team of designers. You’ll partner with our user researchers and data teams to understand user needs and market opportunities. You’ll work with art directors and writers to make design delightful and brand-aligned. You’ll help the team build experiences our customers love, by making sure every last design detail is ready for launch.

  • Facilitate continuous learning and improvement for the product design team and its members
  • Collaborate with every team at Etsy: Product, Engineering, Research, Data, Support, Business, Operations, Brand Design and Marketing. Only together can we develop and ship holistic, brand-aligned experiences.
