THE CHALLENGE
Eventbrite has grown rapidly over the last decade as a global platform powering millions of live experiences. The IT team, otherwise known as BriteTech, is responsible for enabling our 1,100+ Britelings around the world in over a dozen offices to have the tools and resources they need to help enable this amazing platform. As an Information Systems Engineer, Project Management Software, you will scale and maintain a smoothly functioning Atlassian software stack, administering JIRA and Confluence instances, build and improve workflows, automations, and integrations, and serve as a resource to the many teams around the globe that rely on these and other project management tools. 
 
THE TEAM
The BriteTech team is responsible for overseeing all internal technical operations at Eventbrite. We build everything around the pillars of simplicity, efficiency, security and scalability. From network services, security and collaboration services, to espresso machines over IP, BriteTech’s goals are to nurture an environment where technology empowers and supports productivity, collaboration, and creativity for our Britelings! THE ROLE
As a member of the BriteTech Systems Team, you’ll be a critical cog in keeping our backend IT systems and infrastructure not only up and running, but also thriving and propelling toward a more scalable and efficient future. You’ll be responsible for all things Atlassian, collaborating with IT and across the entire business to make sure everyone is getting the most out of JIRA, Confluence, and connected platforms. You will see your impact immediately as you empower and facilitate teams from Engineering to Facilities to Sales to get stuff done!
 
THE TECH STACK
JIRA/Confluence/Crowd system administration, scripting (Scriptrunner, Javascript, Python), JIRA Service Desk management and configuration, boards, Atlassian server maintenance, upgrades, and patching

YOU WILL

  • Be a subject matter expert in all things Atlassian, including JIRA project, workflow, plugin, and integration configuration, Confluence administration, user and permissions administration
  • Help to ensure our global teams are using Atlassian products effectively for a rapidly growing organization
  • Evaluate software updates, plugins, addons, and changes to JIRA and Confluence
  • Write, build, or update scripts and workflows all while maintaining Atlassian best practicesServe as an escalation point for the broader IT team and other functional groups in the business (Agile Coaches, Program Managers, Engineering, HR, Facilities, Sales, Marketing, and others) to mitigate technical issues with and help propel effective use of the Atlassian platform
  • Collaborate with onsite business partners, external vendors, and the extended IT team, gather requirements for new implementations and craft and deliver solutions
  • Drive multiple projects (sometimes simultaneously) from start to finish, making a profound impact on the productivity and efficiency of our global workforce
  • Have fun with the team, eat snacks, and help mentor and train others

THE SKILL SET

  • 4+ years of experience as an IT Systems Administrator/Engineer in a rapidly growing company or experience as a professional rodeo clown, whichever is less dangerous and unpredictable
  • 3+ years experience administering Atlassian architecture in a cross-functional, multi-site organization (including JIRA Server and Confluence Server)
  • Deep knowledge of custom JIRA workflows, screens, fields, project schemes, and plugins in a complex Atlassian environment
  • Excellent working experience integrating Atlassian products with a wide variety of third-party tools and plugins
  • Experience (and a passion for) scripting things (using bash, Python, PowerShell, Javascript or similar) and working with databases
  • Experience utilizing Atlassian’s REST APIs for JIRA, Confluence and Crowd
  • Experience administering and integrating a wide array of on premise and cloud-based services
  • Experience driving complex IT projects involving multiple stakeholders from start to finish
  • Excellent understanding and experience with identity management (Okta, Active Directory, LDAP, Crowd)
  • One or more of the following Atlassian Certifications: (ACP-100 Jira Administrator) (ACP-200 Confluence Administrator) (ACP-400 Jira Service Desk Administrator)
  • Experience with vendor management and vetting products and services
  • A passion for documenting all things and communicating clearly and effectively
  • Fantastic ability to flourish as a part of a team while exhibiting flexibility and a passion for snacks

BONUS POINTS

  • Knowledge of Agile workflows and principles for software development and project management
  • Experience with Atlassian Data Center, including migration from Server to Data Center Atlassian products
  • ACP-600 Project Administration Certification
