We are looking for a DataOps Manager to join our growing team of data engineers who can manage the DataOps activities that leverage cutting-edge capabilities in our AWS Cloud environment utilizing Big Data tools.
The DataOps Managerwill work closely with leaders across Data Engineer, Data Analytics and Data Science to implement high-quality, data-driven decisions. They will perform activities such as architecting new data solutions, standing up data platforms, building out ETL pipelines, writing custom code, and supporting continuous integration and continuous delivery and deployment of data pipelines, tools, and environments.
You will address data challenges such as discussing, designing, developing, and maintaining of scalable data platforms that use the latest and best in Big Data tools. Also, you will be Delivering and configuring deployment environments tailored to various roles, including development, testing, and operations on actual servers and in virtualized environments. Moreover, you will work with development teams to ensure their applications can be deployed and maintained at scale using automation.
THE SKILL SET
5+ years of experience in developing and deploying data ingestion, processing, and distribution systems on and with Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies
3+ years of experience with ETL tools
3+ years of experience with automating, managing, and monitoring data pipeline operations at a large scale
2+ years of experience with continuous integration and automated deployments of data pipelines, tools, and environments
Experience with AWS data stores, including RDS, S3, Redshift, DynamoDB, MongoDB, or MySQL
Experience with Cloud infrastructure and automating the deployment of infrastructure components using Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
Experience with data streaming, including Kafka or Kinesis and supporting data governance and data quality initiatives, including developing and implementing data standards, policy analysis, practices and procedures that improve data integrity
Experience with Big Data systems, including Hadoop, HDFS, Map Reduce, and Hive and Big Data ETL tools, including Presto and Luigi
Experience with NoSQL databases, including ElasticSearch and Redis
Knowledge of Jira, Git, and Jenkins
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities
Strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people and projects simultaneously
Excellent communication, collaboration and delegation skills
