The Accounting team partners with the executive team and all other parts of the business to ensure timely and accurate information, operational excellence and compliance with all local and international financial requirements. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced people leader and manager to join our fast-growing organization. The position will lead a team responsible for all Eventbrite’s monthly and quarterly consolidated financial close and reporting cycles and finance operations. This role will report into the Chief Accounting Officer.
Have leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high performing team of professionals with focuses on accounting, financial systems and finance operations
Timely and accurate delivery of monthly and quarterly financial reporting requirements including US-GAAP / SEC reporting and internal management reporting
Annual financial statement audits and quarterly reviews
Compliance with Sarbanes Oxley 404 requirements
Develop / Monitor global controls and processes to ensure relevance and consistency
Streamlining of processes and systems to facilitate ongoing scalability and efficiency
Be customer focused ensuring the team provides excellent service to our colleagues in relation to payroll, purchasing and travel
Develop relationships with business leaders across the organization and establish critical interfaces between the accounting organization and other organizations
ERP system training, development and ongoing maintenance
THE SKILL SET
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years at the management level
Team building and management skills with a desire to pursue continuous improvement
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Previous experience in public accounting (preferably Big 4), including public company audits
Exposure to quarterly / annual SEC reporting
Licensed CPA or other recognized public accounting qualification
Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP, with expertise in technical accounting and internal controls
Expertise in financial systems, preferably WorkDay.M&A execution and integration experience a bonus
