We are seeking a bright, highly motivated Senior Accountant who will serve as a key contributor in a fast-paced environment. The individual will play a significant role in process transformation, policy documentation, business systems implementation, and other various projects that support our internal and external business partners.
You are self-motivated and can adapt in an evolving work environment. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this individual is responsible for general ledger functions (emphasis in inventory), reconciliations, and process improvements.
Reconcile and review balance sheet schedules and resolve variances as needed
Prepare and review various journal entries, balance sheet schedules, and income statement fluctuation analyses
Assist with month end close, ensuring timely and accurate completion
Analyze operational activities to streamline information sharing and improve controls
Collaborate with internal/external business partners to improve accounting close processes
Prepare financial statement reporting package for internal / external parties
Assist with internal and external audits and ensuring timely and accurate responses to requests
Document detailed memos that describe company transactions and/or regulatory changes and their related impact on general accounting practices
Assist with the administration and report build within Host Analytics, internal reporting tool
Prepare ad-hoc reports and participate in projects as requested
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
BA/BS degree in Accounting
4+ years of progressive work experience in public accounting and/or industry
E-commerce and retail experience a must (prior focus on inventory)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Desire to work collaboratively but has the ability to work independently
Systems experience with Netsuite or other ERP preferred, SQL experience a plus
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and digest large amounts of data required
