Exabeam is looking for a highly motivated and talented individual to join the Finance Team at its headquarters in Foster City, CA. The Revenue Analyst is a highly visible role that will play a key role during customer contract negotiations, deal structuring and execution. This person will be heavily involved in the quote-to-cash (QTC) cycle and will partner with cross-functional business partners to ensure compliance.

What you'll do:

  • Review contracts and execute revenue allocations in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on our QTC policies and processes across business lines to advise on escalations and provide solutions.
  • Perform month-end close tasks associated with revenue recognition, including the review of deferred revenue reconciliations, validating deferred revenue, and the posting of monthly revenue journal entries, as required.
  • Coordinate the preparation of schedules and reports in support of internal management and external audit ensuring that all revenue deliverables are met.
  • Identify, develop, and implement projects that streamline processes, improve efficiency, and perform additional responsibilities, as necessary.
  • Perform relevant internal controls in the Company’s revenue recognition process.
  • Preparation of Unbilled, SAAS, and Professional Services revenue balance sheet reconciliations
  • Continually revise procedures when needed to enable up-to-date, consistent processes.
  • Complete ad hoc deal desk or revenue-related projects and analysis as required.

What we look for:

  • CPA (active or inactive) preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in technology industry in a revenue specific role (with a combination of Big-4 and industry experience preferred)
  • Contract review and technical revenue recognition experience
  • Knowledge of relevant revenue accounting guidance under ASC 606 and applying to transactions for on-premise software, SaaS, hardware and professional services, including multi-element arrangements
  • Ability to interact effectively with sales and product teams, functional peer groups and subordinates and to gain cooperation from others, especially those in other departments, as well as with outside auditors and outside legal counsel
  • Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of multiple concurrent and diversified tasks, while working with deadlines
  • Problem solver: The candidate should be an excellent, analytical problem solver with a common sense and practical solutions orientation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Good knowledge of Salesforce, MS Office, and Google Docs.
  • NetSuite and ARM experience preferred
  • Flexibility to work extended hours during peak periods
