Exiger Diligence focuses on due diligence research for a variety of clients using a wide range of research tools to gather risk and compliance intelligence on individuals and companies.
The research is then analyzed and developed into a narrative report, which is used by clients to understand the general background of the subject, assess the subject’s legitimacy and reputation, and inform strategic decision-making.
This is a full-time opportunity located in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Our Senior Managers are engaged leaders with experience in due diligence research. They lead teams who gather risk and compliance intelligence on individuals and companies. Our Senior Manager, Latin-America Team lead oversees a team focused on research for Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking countries and trains new hires to conduct research. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Exiger’s Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking team of researchers and reviewers.
  • Mentor, guide, and supervise direct reports, including a team of performance managers, to support their engagement, professional development and growth.
  • Oversee the performance management process for team, including individual goal setting, performance feedback, and performance assessment.
  • Monitor direct reports’ quality of work, providing guidance and feedback on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for setting and managing research and review methodology and standards for Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking countries.
  • Manage research source selection, vetting, evaluation, and curation for Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking countries, such as paid subscription databases, public records and other open and publicly available sources.
  • Train team members to conduct research on subjects in Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking countries.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with colleagues across Exiger’s global offices to ensure research guidance, standards, best practices and sources are coordinated and consistent.
  • Review reports for accuracy and clarity, performing spot checks of research.
  • Develop strategies to grow and expand Exiger’s Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking team of research and review professionals.

Professional Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of due diligence research, review, and management experience
  • Extensive experience with sources, research methodology, and key trends related to English, Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking countries.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team of researchers and client projects.
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese.
  • Demonstrated experience with the range of due diligence products, inclusive of deep dive public records research and use of on-the-ground human sources.
  • Demonstrated experience with training staff in Latin American research and review methodology.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in dynamic, high-pressure, and deadline-driven environments.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to develop processes to support a rapidly maturing organization.
  • Solution-oriented professional focused on achieving optimal outcomes for clients, the business, and the team.
