What you'll do:
The Global Supplier Development Manager plays a critical role in Fitbit's supplier management operations. This person will meet these objectives by leveraging available resources and developing strong working relationships with relevant business partners. Execution of sourcing plans will be accomplished via the GSDM’s leadership of complex negotiations, the utilization of advanced sourcing tools, and leveraging benchmark data and market dynamics to Fitbit’s advantage.
The GSDM will be challenged to evaluate complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth assessment of various factors and an understanding of key trends and market conditions to make decisions. And finally, the successful GSDM will demonstrate the ability to exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results, and ensuring that project goals, schedules and performance requirements are achieved.
The successful GSDM will be an expert in either Electro Mechanical, Displays or Mechanical components. He or she will have in depth knowledge in these areas of expertise and will be able to quickly support the various supplier base in Fitbits sourcing organization. The role is not limited to these commodities and the candidate would be looked at for resources for other categories when deem needed.
Utilize benchmarks to drive innovation and an external perspective. Deliver a technical perspective to the sourcing strategy designed to meet the dynamic requirements of the business. Set and achieve performance goals/metrics to improve total delivered/lifecycle commodity cost, quality, technology and service. Develop and implement a robust cost process designed to capture savings opportunities to meet the organization s goals. Implement technical initiatives, process improvements driving supplier productivity. Support the sourcing exercises aligned with the Commodity strategies. Develop and lead appropriate supplier engagement mechanisms that add value to the business. Be recognized as global subject matter expert by business partners in engineering, and a valued member of the team.

Bachelors Degree with Masters preferred with 5 -10 years work experience
