ABOUT THE ROLE
As the GM of Part-Time Programs at Flatiron School, you are a key part of the leadership team, and work closely with cross-functional leaders to maximize Flatiron’s part-time programs. You will spend 70% of your time delivering the performance of the part-time programs, and 30% designing new strategies to future programs. You are responsible for the P/L and end-to-end student experience and will oversee qualitative and quantitative performance on a day to day basis.
You will collaborate closely with regional Campus Directors as well as central leaders to deliver Flatiron School’s Part Time Skills courses on-time and on-brand. You will work in collaboration with regional sales and marketing leaders to achieve objectives. Operate all locations according to standards and on-brand. Create a collaborative and connected environment among instructional staff. Live the mission and values of Flatiron at all times; model the leadership behaviors you expect to see in your territory and in the region.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and optimize the P/L and pro-forma (student enrollment, revenue and margins); continually look for creative solutions to enhance the P/L. Actively partner with cross-functional teams in the selection of future market opportunities; co-approve all new locations with the GM of In-Person Programs. Day to day management of the part-time instructors globally. As the "client" of the Sales and Marketing teams, work collaboratively to ensure that Sales & Marketing strategies support the objectives of Part-Time Instruction. Partner with local campus teams to pilot and execute initiatives and develop partnerships that increase student happiness and promote upselling. Re-imagine partnerships, events, and initiatives through with a fresh and innovative approach. Work with GM and Head of Ops to set territory goals and optimize KPI dashboards to monitor performance. Minimum 10+ years' experience with strong operational focus. Entrepreneurial experience is a plus. P/L experience required. Experience managing large organizations Experience managing sales and building high visibility brands a plus. Passion and understanding for entrepreneurial communities. Thrive in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication, organization and project management skills. Assertive and have a strong drive to develop those around you, while being an inspirational leader. Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy. Experience in planning strategic growth.
