As Vice President of Membership Sales, your primary responsibility is to ensure we meet/exceed our revenue growth goals month over month and year over year in our core business. Included in your responsibilities are:  continuing to build and manage a world-class sales team, optimizing sales processes, and perpetually optimizing pricing and value propositions.  

Because this role is pivotal to company success, the VP of Membership Sales must be a results-oriented relationship builder, making key contributions as a part of an entrepreneurial growth team


  • Meet or exceed our Membership revenue growth goals month over month and year over year
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics for execution
  • Direct and manage your sales team members to achieve sales targets
  • Help to negotiate and close deals with customers
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts and report results
  • Help to identify new potential customers and new market opportunities
  • Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with our customers’ needs
  • Liaise with departmental leadership to ensure brand and product consistency across the entire company
  • Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure team members stay on up-to-date


  • Bachelor Degree in Business or a related field
  • Proven portfolio of SaaS sales with $XXM+ in annual recurring revenue (private sector only); Events industry sales strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years demonstrated senior level SaaS sales leadership experience; work experience as VP of Sales preferred
  • Experience or understanding of Salesforce.com ecosystem preferred
  • Experience successfully building, managing and scaling a high performance SaaS sales team (private sector)
  • Experience closing deals
  • Proficient with CRM software like SalesForce
  • Ability to drive, analyze and report sales performance metrics
  • Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills
  • Diligent work ethic; must be self-motivated and able to take the initiative to get the job done
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new markets and territories
  • Strong written, phone, and in-person communicator
  • Proven ability to manage prospecting efforts, sales process, pipeline, late stage deals, and contracts
  • Understanding of standard business processes, including accounting, required
  • Knowledge of SaaS solutions and Salesforce.com, Google, etc.
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn quickly in different areas of the business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at presentation to diverse audiences, including customers and senior management
  • Detailed, organized and results-oriented, with ability to effectively prioritize
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment
  • Strong logical, analytical, and technical skills required
  • Demonstrated interest in non-profits and associations a plus
  • Travel as required by business needs.
