In response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, we have launched a new service: Concentric by Ginkgo. Concentric is Ginkgo’s pandemic response program and the foundation of a long-term biosecurity business that is uniquely positioned to thrive alongside Ginkgo’s core bioengineering capabilities. At the core today is a high-scale testing business delivered via our digital platform, which provides turn-key access to multiple testing modalities. We firmly believe that testing is an essential requirement to re-open the economy as quickly and safely as possible (see our white paper here), and we aim to provide broad access to COVID-19 testing solutions to support the national testing capacity.
As a Commercial Development Analyst , you will be a core part of the Commercial team at Ginkgo as we continue to scale Concentric. Broadly, the team focuses on four key areas: go-to-market strategy, account development, delivery assurance, and product innovation. Your role will be to help develop and implement the strategy of one or more of these areas. As we launch testing capabilities in new markets, your initiative, entrepreneurship, and teamwork will shine as you adapt this offering to meet customer needs. By developing and driving relationships with key accounts and running delivery of our service, you will expand relationships into lasting partnerships. As issues arise, you will find creative solutions and ensure customer success - learning from each customer and flowing this thinking back into service development. Your role will be varied and high impact, and a critical part of our national solution to COVID-19.

Support strategic initiatives to grow Concentric’s various product offerings (e.g., PCR, antigen, and pooled testing) and rapidly deploy COVID-19 testing
Develop key customer accounts through identification of new opportunities, managing customer outreach programs, qualifying leads, taking part in customer conversations, assessing customer needs, and building testing proposals
Work cross functionally with Concentric’s Marketing and Customer Delivery teams to develop top-of-the-funnel marketing approach and launch custom testing programs
Identify public sector opportunities within federal, state, and local governments, including RFP identification and the management of internal stakeholders to develop tailored proposals
This dynamic role will tackle the most urgent and immediate problems facing the project as a whole, and may support other Commercial projects from our other operations
Desired Experience and Capabilities:
Zero to 3 years work experience in Consulting, Operations, Client Service, Product, Business Development, or Public Sector
Strong analytical skills, with an ability to develop fact-based and informed opinions
Excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence, and an ability to work across organizational boundaries
Ability to drive ownership of a piece of work from end-to-end, while both working independently and bringing in internal stakeholders as necessaryStrong organizational skills and ability to multitask
