About the Role:

The Senior Program Manager, Operations will support CaaStle’s Operations Team, which manages a growing network of distribution centers across the US.  The Operations Team currently operates distribution centers in Columbus OH and Phoenix AZ. The role can be based out of New York NY or Mountain View CA, with varying degrees of travel required to the distribution centers.

The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for owning the Operation Team’s Project Program, a set of processes to ensure the prioritization and execution of projects on a continual basis. They will also serve as resident Process Management expert, leading process architecture and governance.  The Senior Program Manager will contribute to & master the standards & processes of the Program Management Office (PMO), including Portfolio, Project, & Process Management. They will be responsible for their implementation & ongoing execution across and within the distribution centers.

What you'll do:

  • Own Operations’ Project Program , provide strategic leadership, direction, and process standardization
  • Develop & implement processes & best practices that enhance the functioning of the Operations Team
  • Serve as advisor to Operation Management team, providing support and/or ownership on critical initiatives
  • Develop and Maintain a deep understanding of all operation processes within the distribution centers
  • Design & lead training program for Operations Managers & Supervisors across distribution centers
  • Mentor and develop project and process management skills within the Operations Team
  • Actively manage an expansive project portfolio and stack ranking process for all distribution centers
  • Partner with Product Management, Analytics, and other teams’ personnel to generate innovative solutions
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation for projects across the Operations Team
  • Assist in the defining of projects, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress against individual initiatives
  • Establish regular reporting to update key stakeholders on status, risk, and progress of initiatives
  • Drive on-time delivery of projects, within scope and budget
  • Identify projects at risk, determine actions in collaboration with stakeholders, escalate as needed
  • Assist in the execution management, and retrospecting of projects and significant events
  • Manage changes to scope, schedule, and budget
  • Identify and own the Operations Team’s overall Portfolio, Project, and Process Management KPIs
  • Measure portfolio, project, and process performance using appropriate analysis tools
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project and process documentation
  • Champion PMO best practices, building team culture
  • Collaborate with a diverse, global team of Program Managers
  • Support broader PMO initiatives as needed

We'd love for you to have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical field
  • Experience: 7+ years of project management, 3+ years of program management
  • Strong leadership experience
  • Operations and/or manufacturing experience leading progressively complex projects
  • Experience project managing large cross-functional projects involving both business & technical domains
  • Understanding of the interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
  • Ability to thrives in ambiguous environments, strong self-starter
  • High comfort level with entrepreneurship; open to change, learning, and self-improvement
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills and uncompromised attention to detail
  • Moderate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Familiarity with Project Management tools
  • Flexible thinker, able to learn new approaches and apply them in unanticipated ways
  • Team Player; Ability to work cross functionally with team members and contribute to meaningful conversations
  • Ability to travel: up to 25%
