The role

As a product owner, you will be part of HelloFresh flagship projects by owning the software of our warehouse innovation projects, giving you the opportunity to explore new and exciting areas. You will be responsible for the specification, supervision of external development, testing (Unit, Factory Acceptance, remote and onsite integration testing), and the deployment of our warehouse control system and its flawless integration into its host interfaces.

During the course of the deployment and the following onsite integration test, you will support the onsite team by providing them with excellent dashboards to monitor the live performance and giving them the right insights into the system. 

Once the software is successfully deployed, you will be the product owner, responsible to drive and manage the continual improvement of our warehouse control system, linking the onsite support team, internal tech teams, and suppliers. 

You will develop and monitor data quality metrics and ensure business data and reporting needs are met. Strong technology, analytical and communication skills are must-have traits.

You will be supporting further automation projects by developing new models that underpin sound business decisions.

What you’ll do

  • Manage the implementation of complex intralogistics automation projects and lead them to success in terms of timelines, budget and performance.
  • Dive deep into technical engineering of intralogistics processes and IT systems architecture to deliver the most efficient automation system for shop-floor operations
  • Design, manage and execute test plans for our warehouse control system and its interfaces during development, commissioning and improvement cycles
  • Be the interface of the Automation workstream for internal stakeholders such as Operational Excellence, Tech Teams as well external automation suppliers
  • Gather and specify metrics and data requirements to ensure operational and business needs are met

What you’ll bring

  • University degree in computer science,systems engineering, automation, logistics or comparable 
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in IT project management as a Product Owner, Product Manager or other relevant role. Or at least 1 year in Software logistics management.
  • Ability to clearly articulate the business requirements, goals and project scope
  •  A significant track record of design, delivery and analysis of end to end Software implementation projects
  •  An analytical mind set with strong numeracy and analysis skills. 
  • Data manipulation, analysis and visualization skills required.
  • Domain experience with automation of warehouse systems and logistics is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken) are required, any other additional language skills would be a plus.
  • Willingness to travel within Europe (around 20-30% of your working time, depending on the project phase).
