Key Responsibilities
- Identify design problems and provide creative UX solutions.
- Understand and align the needs of stakeholders, clients and users.
- Work with product management to understand business problems and design effective solutions. Support them in making clear decisions that promote well-defined, timely, usable releases.
- Identify new product/feature and improvement opportunities and present to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Oversee one or more designers, coordinate and review their work to make sure everyone is executing in a similar style and quality.
- Take independent charge of product area’s UX: goals, roadmap and deliverables.
- Work with product management to understand business problems and design effective solutions. Support them in making clear decisions that promote well-defined, timely, usable releases.
- Prototype designs, which can range from simple paper sketches, wireframes, to high-fidelity and interactive digital mock-ups.
- Generate ideas through ideation techniques such as brainstorming to solve the users’ needs in a way that provides value to the company. Select the most promising idea(s) based on their feasibility, desirability and viability, among other criteria.
- Analyze and identify pain points from the users’ perspective, based on user research and/or design heuristics.
- Identify design problems from user research reports or heuristic evaluation and provide creative UX solutions.
- Understand and align the needs of stakeholders, clients and users.
- Effectively communicate your design ideas, to bring different stakeholders on the same page.
- Manage all forms of requirement gathering, user research and usability testing, ensuring the best methods are selected for each project.
Critical Experiences
- Relevant experiences required to successfully perform the role:
- ~ 7 to 10 years of experience in UX design
- Have proficient knowledge of UX tools, process, and UI patterns
- Experience in handling complex enterprise projects
- Demonstrated ability to identify and further business goals and identify unmet user needs
- Demonstrated proven ability to work on UX Product Strategies
- Experience of having worked with a multi-disciplinary team
Credentials
- Bachelor’s, or equivalent degree in UX / Interaction Design / HCI
- If the education degree is not from a design field it should be backed up with either a certification in UX design and/or relevant work experience
- A well-rounded portfolio, demonstrating a strong understanding UX design principles and/or processes
