The User Experience Designer is a highly-motivated and self-directed person who is passionate about creating compelling products to meet the needs of the customer. The ideal candidate can balance high-level customer-centric objectives with detailed and carefully considered designs.  He/she can work seamlessly with engineers, product managers and customers to create intuitive, and workable designs.  Candidate must be comfortable working in a cross-functional, lean environment that emphasizes collaboration and respect.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, customers, engineers to create customer-delightful mobile and web applications and user experiences
  • Deliver design executions that align with CSS, HTML, front end architecture and required user experience artifacts
  • Create easy-to-use and intuitive applications, streamlining end user effectiveness by reducing the time it takes for a user to complete a task
  • Ensure that all Indigo products have a consistent look-and-feel, allowing for reusability
  • Maintain the component design libraries, style guide and enforce best UX practices
  • Lead user interviews for concept testing and usability feedback

  • Maniacally focused on the end-user and customer and their user experience needs
  • Ability to visualize complex data into dashboards that allow for fast and clear business decision making
  • Passion for developing customer-delightful and easy-to-use user interfaces, demonstrating a deep understanding of the end-user
  • Passion for software development and modern software development practices, including lean and agile
  • Egoless and works and interacts well with software engineering, product management, business development and customers
  • Passion for Indigo mission and values
  • Able to get out in the field and excited to do so
  • Understands user interface best practices
  • Understands trade-offs between devices, including screen size
  • Great listener and communicator, written and oral
  • Technically knowledgeable and not afraid to technically challenge engineers
  • Ability and passion to quickly learn new technologies and industries, staying up-to-date with technology and best practice trends

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience building customer-delightful user experiences
  • Direct and demonstrable experience building mobile and web applications and reporting user experiences, for internal and external customers
  • Experience with data visualization and designing metrics dashboards
