OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join our Global Indirect Tax team and support our tax systems and tax compliance processes. Your passion for technology, systems and data analysis will be key to your success. This candidate should expect to work cross-functionally and collaboratively, manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment, and build processes for scalability.

ABOUT THE JOB

Own the accurate and timely filing of all global indirect tax compliance, including US sales & use, Canadian GST/HST, gross receipts, and property tax to ensure timely, accurate reporting and remittance
Perform monthly indirect tax account accruals, reconciliations and related journal entries
Research sales & use tax law changes and incorporate those changes into our compliance process and update the tax engine
Maintain a tax calendar for all indirect tax filing obligations
Support multi-state tax audits, including working directly with the Financial Systems team on large data set requests
Collaborate with the product team on new products and market launches to ensure all tax requirements are documented and in compliance
Assist with tax technology initiatives, including redesign of tax compliance processes for Marketplace Facilitator reporting

ABOUT YOU

3+ years of indirect tax experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Strong communication and ability to influence
Experience interacting effectively with external service providers
Experience with SQL and pulling large data sets, Vertex, Oracle Cloud, a big plus
Positive attitude, team-oriented and enthusiasm for Instacart
