OVERVIEW

You’re a consummate professional with a passion for equity solutions and an eye for detail. You are comfortable participating in strategic conversations about equity operations, as well as getting into the weeds of day-to-day stock administration. You have experience working at fast-paced public companies and have an eye for creating operational efficiencies. You’re collaborative, analytical, and capable of helping the Equity Programs Team scale and grow with our evolving business. 

Instacart’s equity program is an essential component of our overall Rewards strategy. Today, Instacart’s Equity Team, along with the Legal, Finance, and HR teams combine forces to run and administer Instacart’s equity program. We partner closely together to ensure employees have the best experience as participants, while ensuring our equity programs support our broader business objectives. We are looking to grow our equity team to help take our equity program to the next level.


ABOUT THE JOB 
As a manager of the equity programs team, you’ll be in charge of the operations of the Instacart equity program along with assisting in strategic initiatives. This includes: 

  • Provide strategic advice to the company and cross-functional partners on the design and implementation of our global equity program
  • Accurately and efficiently run the day-to-day administration of our globally equity program
  • Use and maintain our equity management platform to oversee all participant equity plan transactions (grants, exercises etc.) and ensure that they are correctly processed in a timely manner, including capitalization table management
  • Drive the growth and scale of the stock administration function, including enhancing existing manual processes, automating processes, and evaluating service providers
  • Partner with cross-functional teams for data transfer, automation projects, reporting, etc. to help aid in the scalability of our programs
  • Ensure global equity reporting and compliance with international tax and regulatory requirements, including year-end equity related tax filing
  • Handle mobility data and reporting within equity programs
  • Conduct company-wide training to increase employee understanding of and respond to questions from employees regarding equity grants and exercises
  • Be a resource for the team to reconcile transactions, termination dates, tax withholding and reporting, and other items as required
  • Maintain and update documents defining procedures for all plan administration and ensuring that internal controls and procedures are in place
  • Perform other duties and ad hoc projects and reporting as requested


ABOUT YOU
Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years in stock administration for a U.S. company with global equity plans preferred, or similar relevant experience, with both private and public companies
  • Advanced analytical ability, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy
  • Able to manage multiple priorities, work cross-functionally and meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage a challenging, fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Equity Professional (CEP) or in the process of obtaining
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with stock administration platform implementations
  • Comprehensive understanding of many different types of equity awards and private vs. public company equity programs across multiple jurisdictions
  • Effective and efficient time management skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with a diverse group of individuals including various levels of management
  • Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with high initiative, flexibility, and team approach to work
