About the role:

The VP of Design at Jet is responsible for the creative vision, execution and oversight of our entire customer experience across Jet. Your ultimate goal is to constantly evolve the way customers interact with our brand across all of Jet’s touchpoints, online and offline.

Challenges you’ll be tackling:
 
• Create an environment of innovation and experimentation to inspire your team to create new approaches to eCommerce experiences
• Understanding our competitive landscape by gaining a deep insight into our target audiences and using that knowledge to develop smart solutions to design and experience challenges
• Create and drive inspirational experiences by developing a UX and Design point of view for eCommerce across all platforms online and offline
• Growing and fostering a design culture to create value in the organization
• Ensuring all touchpoints reinforce Jet’s brand character, voice, look and feel as the brand evolves from infancy to adolescence
 
Responsibilities:
 
• Understand and weave business goals and customer needs into design solutions so that they are relevant and scalable
• Provide expert advice and guidance to your UX, Design, and Copy team members by sharing best practices
• Create and empower a collaborative, design-centric culture at Jet and work across the company to promote awareness and understanding of creative process and execution
• Partner with the Jet talent teams to promote recruiting, employee engagement, recruiting branding and blogs, and creative networking events
• Stay active in the external creative world and represent Jet at various events and gatherings
• Incorporate quantitative and qualitative research (NPS, Industry reports, site analytics, a/b testing results, user testing and research) to improve designs and experiences so that design and UX can help to solve some of our greatest business challenges
• Leverage user centered design best practices to collaborate with engineering, product, and research teams
• Review and own final approver designation for all design assets as well as user experience designs with a focus on brand expression, consistency to standards, strong design principles, etc.
• Utilize data as a tool for design and weave it into our creative vision and execution

Qualifications:

• 15 years of relevant work experience
• Minimum 10 years of creative leadership experience including people management and career development
• Experience working at bigger tech companies with an ability to evolve and navigate process
• Experience building teams and creative around a large consumer brand and launching successful products and experiences
• A service mindset with the ability to empathize with and design for diverse consumer demographics and needs
• Experience working at all levels of design and the ability to jump in the trenches when necessary
• Experience working with executives and presenting creative to a wide range of senior stakeholders
• Experience working in and managing eCommerce user experience and design
• Examples of past work and creative execution
