Who You Are

Justworks is looking for an entrepreneurial and results-oriented B2B marketing leader to join the team and help us accelerate engagement, conversion and growth through high impact lifecycle marketing programs. You are more than a little obsessed with prospect and customer journeys and love to use data and insights to create personalized experiences for target segments that drive desired actions. You have experience building a lifecycle marketing team and know how to inspire and motivate others to achieve their best work, but you are just as comfortable tackling work streams independently. 

As the Senior Manager, Lifecycle Marketing, you will report to the VP, Marketing and be responsible for driving customer acquisition, referrals and engagement across the prospect and customer journey with a focus on email marketing. This is a highly cross-functional and collaborative role - you will partner with team members across Marketing, Product, Business Operations, Customer Success and Sales to nurture and convert leads, engage and grow our subscriber base, and drive evangelism through increased adoption of our referral program.

Your Success Profile

What You Will Work On

  • Reimagine the lifecycle marketing strategy at Justworks to drive business impact, and build and manage a team to help you execute on that vision. This is a hands-on role requiring a mix of facilitation and direct work.
  • Develop lifecycle marketing campaigns that deliver relevant, timely and impactful messaging and experiences across the prospect and customer journey to drive target actions, with a focus on acquisition, referrals and engagement. 
  • Define audience segments and craft targeted campaigns across triggered emails, nurture campaigns, promotional pushes, newsletters and re-engagement - owning the process from strategy and messaging through to execution, reporting and analysis.
  • Continuously identify and implement strategies to grow and nurture our prospect database, improve email KPIs, and actively manage our prospect list health via Pardot.
  • Methodically test and identify best performing content, creative and messages for target segments across different lifecycle stages, measure performance and uncover opportunities to improve ROI.
  • Build, execute and drive a roadmap for scaling our referral program through customer and community advocacy. 
  • Uncover key insights about our biggest evangelists to create experiences that truly delight and deliver.
  • Partner with team members across Marketing, Product and Customer Success to identify and implement referral promotion opportunities through internal and external channels.
  • Partner with Business Operations to level up our referral tracking and measurement to enable data-driven decision-making and to ensure email campaigns are properly tracked, leads are properly assigned and email automation strategies are properly managed.
  • Support ad-hoc marketing campaigns as the email expert to drive revenue generation, product adoption and brand awareness.
  • Build, lead and develop the email marketing team by handling general management responsibilities including providing feedback, holding regular 1-on-1s, conducting performance review and more. Hire world-class talent.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5years of experience developing and executing high performing lifecycle marketing programs with a strong focus on segmentation and personalization
  • 2 years experience managing a team, experience mentoring and developing junior team members a plus
  • Proven track record driving measurable business results through email marketing campaign strategy/development, messaging, segmentation, lifecycle optimization, deliverability and AB/multivariate testing
  • Demonstrated success building, managing and scaling a high performing referral program. Loyalty program experience a plus 
  • Highly analytical and data-driven with the ability to surface meaningful insights from large data sets
  • Excellent communication, project management, organizational and time management skills
  • Entrepreneurial, with the ability to foster alignment, partnership and collaboration across teams
  • A creative problem-solver who loves to roll up their sleeves and get things done
  • Experience leading the development, testing and implementation of automated and event-triggered email programs
  • Strong point of view on direct marketing best practices, including contact strategies, designing A/B testing, customer segmentation and analytics
  • In-depth understanding of database marketing with ability to use data to build marketing plans and analyze a channel’s effectiveness
  • Experience in Google Analytics, Excel, SQL, Tableau and Adobe creative suite strongly preferred. Bonus points for Stensul knowledge
  • Hands-on experience with major email marketing automation software is required (Pardot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar platform). Experience with referral marketing software a plus
  • Solid understanding of email fundamentals: CAN-SPAM, list management, deliverability, segmentation, KPIs
  • B2B marketing experience required. Experience in tech, health, and/or targeting the SMB space preferred
