The world's largest funding platform for creative projects

Exciting news from Lever HQ! We just closed our Series C round of funding, and are looking for great people to help us scale to meet demand.

Get in on the ground floor at a top startup, while solving the #1 challenge for every CEO - hiring the best talent. We’re looking for a super-motivated individual to join our Product Marketing team at Lever. We have a product that customers are already raving about; you will play a key role in drafting our messaging and positioning, crafting our collateral and packaging, and shaping our overall go-to-market strategy. If you happen to have experience in the talent acquisition industry, that’s a significant plus.

Recruiting is a hot market, growing 12-15% y/y on its own, and applicant tracking systems like Lever are in high demand.  At the same time, hiring has never been more competitive and costly, making talent solutions that improve a company’s hiring ROI incredibly valuable. Lever is the only hiring software that is mobilizing the entire company to collaborate on hiring.  We’re the only solution designed to engage managers, who are incredibly crucial stakeholders, more deeply in the process.  By supporting a true partnership between recruiters and managers, we’re able to make hiring faster, higher-quality, and more embedded into a company’s core culture.

We’ve already attracted an elite roster of over 1,000 customers including Netflix, Quora, Lyft, Eventbrite, Coursera and Change.org, based largely on word-of-mouth. Now we need to build out the Product Marketing function to raise our go-to-market game... which is where you come in.

Reporting to our Product Marketing Director, you'll work hand-in-hand with Product, Sales and other Marketing teams to help both prospects and customers understand Lever's value proposition and differentiation. We'll need your help in developing sales-ready collateral; capturing customer case studies;  articulating Lever’s features and benefits; developing and prioritizing our personas; thinking through our segmentation; competitive tracking and intelligence; and carrying out research to inform certain product and product marketing decisions.

We’re building a world-class marketing organization and assembling the right team to begin scaling aggressively. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to be part of something big and transformative, someone who will play a critical (and broad) role in driving our success.

From day one as a Leveroo, you'll be an active contributor to the Lever culture and in helping us fulfill our vision of supporting companies as they connect human potential to meaningful work. If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!

  • Become demo certified (e.g. you can demo our product, pitch our product and features and handle high level questions/objections) by sales management
  • Understand how our products are positioned today and in the minds of our customers by shadowing 5-7 different customer calls with sales reps across segments (e.g. SMB-sized companies to large enterprises); present findings to Director of Product Marketing to inform positioning strategies, gaps and tactics
  • Review our current marketing strategy and sales assets to understand and measure the consistency of our current positioning, differentiators, collateral, etc. Then, present findings to CMO & Director of Product Marketing to identify areas of improvement so as to  refine positioning and develop a plan to improve message consistency across assets

These findings will be used as  input for shaping the product roadmap, developing competitive battle cards, and updating our sales and marketing strategies including pricing and packaging
  • Evaluate and implement a sales enablement solution to manage all sales materials, efficiently answering common sales questions, train reps on new developments, and analyze effectiveness of messaging and sales collateral; roll out solution, train the organization and measure usage
  • Partner with Product, Design, Sales and Customer Success on your first product/feature launch; deliver positioning and drive Go-To-Market (GTM) activities from creation of the launch plan to development and delivery of related assets (e.g. training, blog, customer messaging, etc.); evaluate success based on product/feature adoption and stakeholder feedback

  • Partner with Demand Gen, Sales, Design and Product to develop marketing campaigns about Lever’s core products; identify target audiences and customize campaigns based on their needs;  measure effectiveness by tracking increases in awareness, demo requests, response rates and sales wins
