Product Designer, Native

Kickstarter, Remote

The world's largest funding platform for creative projects

Duration: Full-Time

Kickstarter, PBC is seeking a skilled Product Designer to join our Native team.

About the Team

Kickstarter’s global mobile user-base is rapidly growing, and our iOS and Android apps play a key role in supporting that growth. You’ll be leading design on our Mobile Apps team through every phase: ideation, research, prototyping, validation, and iteration, driving both core improvements and new initiatives. You will partner with product managers, engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure a thoughtful and consistent cross-platform experience.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Help define interaction and visual design standards.
  • Identify mobile platform opportunities and explore how they fit Kickstarter’s mission.
  • Partner with designers on cross-functional teams to ensure feature parity where appropriate.
  • Leverage and contribute to the design system.
  • Conduct and analyze user research.

About You:

  • You have solid professional experience designing for the iOS and Android platforms. This may look like 2-4+ years of experience designing for native applications, but we value depth of professional experience over a fixed number of years.
  • Your portfolio shows a proven track record of designing thoughtful and usable mobile experiences.
  • You are an excellent communicator, able to explain and support your design decisions with peers and stakeholders.
  • You have experience with Figma or Sketch, and ideally comfortable doing light prototyping.
  • You empathize with creators and recognize the challenges of the creative process and bringing projects to life.
Kickstarter is an equal opportunity employer. As part of our commitment to fight for equality, we work to ensure a fair and consistent interview process. We celebrate diversity and we are committed to an inclusive work environment.

Kickstarter is a Public Benefit Corporation, and our mission is to help bring creative projects to life.
