KPMG’s Deal Advisory division is a significant supplier of transaction driven advisory work throughout New Zealand.

The Deal Advisory division operates as one integrated team providing the following key services to clients:
·        Mergers & Acquisitions
·        Valuations
·        Modelling
·        Transaction services
·        Insolvency & Restructuring Services

Be Interested:

  • The Manager works as a member of the Deal Advisory team, providing high quality financial services of specialist expertise to meet client needs. The Manager will work on a range of services depending on their individual skills and client demands.
  • This role also contributes to the growth of the business through the identification of new business opportunities, building networks and relationships, and promoting the services of KPMG as a whole.

Be Exceptional:

  • Performing a range of due diligence assignments to a high standard across a range of sectors in New Zealand. Key service offerings of the team include:
  • Buy-side due diligence
  • Vendor due diligence
  • Vendor assistance
  • IPO support
  • Work across the wider Deal Advisory team as the workflows require
  • Establish and maintain a profile in the NZ market, based on personal knowledge and experience
  • Develop strong client relationships by demonstrating a proactive, can-do, solutions driven attitude
  • Identify new opportunities and potential opportunities to undertake further work for existing clients
  • Assist in the preparation of high-impact proposals
  • Contribute to the development of the team by managing and coaching junior staff, setting a positive example and partaking in team activities


  • Relevant experience in a transaction based role commensurate with your current level, including at least one year at a manager level within a Big 4 Deal Advisory environment in an English speaking jurisdiction
  • Chartered accountant or similar level finance/business related qualification
  • Demonstrated ability in business development and advisory
  • Competence with the Microsoft Office suite of software packages
  • An understanding of, and interest in the commercial environment
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable within a team environment and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
  • A high level of self motivation, energy and drive and the ability to manage and meet work demands
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
