You will be directly involved in the development and maintenance of part of the Lastline Network Sensor product, with specific focus on email delivery and analysis. You will be designing, coding, analyzing performance, and debugging in real-world deployment scenarios. You will have the opportunity to extend and improve an existing software architecture by exploring innovative approaches and ideas with a significant level of freedom.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
In-depth knowledge of networking concepts and network protocols.
Excellent Python development skills, and basic knowledge of Ruby/Puppet.
Experience in use of Linux development and system tools (including use and configuration of postfix, sendmail, etc).
BSCS or equivalent.
Strong analytic thinking as well as the ability to understand and work reliably and responsibly in large codebases.
Comfortable working with geographically distributed team.
THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE NOT REQUIRED BUT WILL STRENGTHEN A CANDIDATE'S POSITION:
Experience in network security research.
Experience in the development and maintenance of large code bases.
