About the Position
This position assists with managing the day-to-day operational and administrative aspects of our beautiful campus, as well as the overall process of bringing prospective families into LePort schools. In general, the Administrative Support is also responsible for supporting the Head of School and Business Manager on a variety of tasks to ensure the campus functions smoothly.
This position requires a highly confident and capable administrator. This is an entry-level position for a candidate interested in starting a career in private school administration. This position requires efficiency, productivity, and strong interpersonal skills. If you can form strong relationships with parents and staff and make everyone feel welcome, while still processing new enrollments, planning the next campus event, and making sure the files and systems are in tip-top shape, then this position is for you! Candidates must be able to type quickly and learn new computer systems easily. Candidates should also be comfortable writing letters and other polished, professional communications.

LePort Montessori was founded in 2000 by Dr. LePort, a parent who fell in love with the Montessori Method for his own children. From these humble beginnings, we have dedicated ourselves for almost two decades to honing and refining our program, curriculum, environments and systems. We are committed to providing devoted Montessorians with the support and resources needed to give the gift of the Montessori to current and future generations of LePort students.
Our mission to seek opportunities for growth extends to to our team, especially those that embrace the Montessori philosophy in in practice and spirit. Administrators and Assistant Teachers are eligible for our Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) sponsorship program. We have dozens of team members that have received financial sponsorship from LePort to earn their AMI degree and have followed many paths at LePort including as a Head Teacher as well as positions in Education, Administration and Campus Leadership roles.
We are ideally interested in a candidate who has some experience with business or school administration, although this background is not required.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A warm and friendly demeanor
- Superb communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong interpersonal skills
- A positive, problem-solving attitude
- A meticulous, and detail-oriented execution of tasks and projects
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask with a variety of different job duties
- Knowledge of the Montessori method of education would be very valuable, but not required
- Mandarin or Spanish fluency a plus, but not required
- 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units preferred, but not required
